Hello everyone and welcome back to the PMG website.
So, where have we been? Why hasn't a video released since July 2022?
Please allow me to fill you in, but I have to go back a little farther than July; back to Nov 2021.
I was working a dead-end job that was no longer paying enough for me to make ends meet by way of inflation. In that industry I required a license issued by the state in order to do that job. That license has a fee associated with getting it, so at that point I felt as though I was now being charged to work. I put in my notice and left for a manufacturing job. I applied and interviewed for a job doing quality control at a sticker printing place. From day one they had me doing a different job that I could not physically handle. When I tried to talk to my supervisor and ask when am I going to start the job I applied for; this guy basically informed me I will do what I'm told or I can quit. I informed him of a problem with my knee and stated I need something else. Thankfully at this time I also emailed HR and asked for a medical accommodation to prevent injuries. Wouldn't you know it, that manager backed off... Fast forward a few weeks and basically the whole shift was out other than me and the two supervisor's. I had came in to work sick and just couldn't do the work on my own; so I asked what kind of disciplinary action would be taken if I needed to leave. The supervisor said it would be a writeup. Since I had no write ups, I didn't see a problem so I left. I had an Emil before I woke up next telling me I was terminated. Thank goodness...
So I was fired without cause and was able to get on unemployment. I had "no fault employment insurance" for my biggest bills with the bank which covered most of my expenses and allowed me to work on my video stuff opposed to a regular 9 to 5. You see, I either have time or money, never both. July 2022 came and went and so did my unemployment checks. By this point in 2022, despite everyone having a now hiring sign out, I couldn't find work that covered everything. Eventually I worked in fast food until Dec 2022 when I went back to work for dead-end job I mentioned at the start of this, but hey, they are paying 2.25 an hour more now, and that is enough for me to make ends meet.
So that catches you up through the start of 2023. I am working that job now (actually typing this article while on the clock), and now at the end of March, I have gotten my bills caught back up. Since I am no longer having to pay extra to catch up, I will now be able to put that money in to production.
Stay tuned and be ready for more videos to drop soon.
